RLP has obtained approval from the relevant authorities to reproduce prescribed and approved forms in Word format for the RLP business.
Before commencing business in 2002, RLP liaised with senior officers of the courts and authorities to ensure that the forms complied with each court's requirements. This is an ongoing focus for RLP.
Prompt release of new and updated forms has been RLP's top priority.
In 2002, we stated our goal:
"RLP aims to have new and updated precedents ready for clients to download from the website within a week of the change being made. If substantial editing of existing forms is required and it is likely to take longer than a week, RLP will email its client firms of the required changes and advise them of the anticipated date when the updates will be ready."
In fact, from the outset, RLP has consistently released new and updated forms either on the day or within a couple of days of the new or amended forms being published.
The RLP website was developed primarily to facilitate prompt and efficient delivery of new and updated precedents to law firms.
When forms are updated and new forms are introduced in a precedent set, we will upload the latest forms to the RLP website and send an email to each client contact.
RLP director, Jacinta Efthim, has over 15 years experience in law firms as a precedent manager and precedent lawyer, specializing in plain language writing. We have considerable experience in drafting plain language precedents and more recently we have assisted several Courts in developing approved forms.
